Mobile Version of Google Instant

Google continues it’s innovation to improve the ability and cruising range of it’s fast search package, Google Instant. After the Google Instant developments have enjoyed a wider region, now Google Instant already available to many mobile devices iPhone and Android. This application is still in Beta version and only available in the United States with English only. Google plans to launch a mobile version of Google Instant in the end of this November, including the launch for the region outside the United States.

In the mobile version, activation needs to be done before the application can be used. The activation link located under the search box. In terms of service, no difference between Google Instant desktop version and mobile one, where Google will automatically and instantly displays the query based on what we type, followed by an immediate view search results as well. Google gives serious attention to develop Google TV. This search engine giant announced will be handing out a juicy 10 thousand units of Google TV on the developers who are lucky in the United States. Google Chrome 7 Beta Released

Google has released an update to the Chrome dev channel, the third in the 7.0 line. The differences are minor from the previous release and it seems like Google is focusing on bug-fixing, resolving minor bug fixes or crashes.

The new beta, Chrome 7.0.517.24, matches that of Tuesday's developer-channel release (28 September 2010). That doesn't include too much directly visible to users--the about:labs feature for experimental options is one item--but it paves the way for major changes.

WebP will Kill JPEG Image Format

Google officially introduced the new image format called WebP (pronounced "weppy"), in the end of September 2010.

WebP is a method of lossy compression that can be used on photographic images. The degree of compression is adjustable so a user cans choose the trade-offs between the file size and image quality.

A WebP file consists of VP8 image data, and a very lightweight containers based on RIFF. Webmasters, web developers and browser developers WebP cans use the format to create smaller, better-looking images cans that help make the web faster. While this container format contributes a minimal overhead of only 20 bytes per image, it is extensible to allow authors to save the meta-data they would like to store.

Google Instant

Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as soon as you type. In other word, it will "search" before you type. This is the internet search accelerator by adding a feature that displays results as soon as people begin typing.

As a user starts to type a search, Google Instant automatically shows results for a popular search that begins with those letters. An algorithm tries to predict what the rest of the query might be based on popular queries typed by other users. The predicted text is shown in light grey in the search box, and search results and ads are automatically shown for that predicted query.

Chrome 6 Beta Released

Google Chrome 6 Beta for Windows, Linux and Mac platforms is available for download now. Google Chrome 6.0.401.1 Beta. The new release is just an update and fixes bugs discovered in Earlier versions. No new features have been added in this release. 

One of them is the speed of Chrome 6 is capable of running 15% faster than previous versions, especially when running in the V8 and the SunSpider benchmark, quoted by The Register, Monday (08/16/2010). Chrome team has worked specifically on fixing the behavior of chrome while handling shortened URLs in the Omnibox 

Google Chrome 5.0.396.0 Beta added the feature of removing the http:// from the displayed URL. This worked pretty well for most of users but it was a difficulty to copy the web address from the Omnibox. This has been fixed in the current release. Now the http:// would be automatically appended even if you copy only a part of the address.

On June 8, 2010 Google announced the completion of a new web indexing system called Caffeine. According to a company blog post, Google built the new search indexing system over a year ago to keep up with the evolution of the Web and to meet rising user expectations. Converting File System: FAT and NTFS

Cbox vs Shoutmix: Who is better ?

There are some tools we can use to express our chat activity and connect to our visitors through our site or blog. Some are Shoutmix and Cbox. In this blog I install Shoutbox/shoutmix rather than Cbox. I didn't have any crucial consideration in the beginning when I installed this kind of tools in my blog. Both have similar feature and function.

                                            

Looking after several other sites I have visited, I found some experiences during try to leave my comment or chat. In most of blogs using Cbox, I underwent difficulty on submitting my words. Most of them are failed being posted.

In the other hand, in some other blogs using Shoutbox, I didn't find those kind of problem. Almost all of my shout were successfully posted. Base on my experiances, I can justify Shoubox is better than Cbox, especially in its respond and the easiness to post any shout. I didn't compare they other features.
