200.000 SMS Sent Every Second [Report]

The more advanced and less costly means of communication, especially mobile phones has encouraged the increased use of SMS (Short Message Service).

International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the United Nations telecommunications agency estimates, the total will be around 6.1 trillion SMS messages sent in cellular networks around the world, until the end of this year.
